4 Core ValuesAt Church at Dutch Fork we have 4 basic core Values that drive our Vision for why God has brought us here. We believe that the reason for all of our existence both individually and corporatly is first and foremost to BRING GLORY TO GOD! ( 1 Cor 10:31 ) Therefore the following Values and Vision is the way in which we feel we will most effectively accomplish this: VALUES: 1. To see each one of us engage God and in an intimate, authentic, and dynamic Relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. 2. To have intimate authentic Christ like Relationships with one another. 3.To see every believer Release all resources (time, treasures and talents) for the good of His Church and the Glory of God. 4. To have a passion and work as a body along with other Churches to REACH the perishing. VISION: We desire to REACH out to Dutch Fork and beyond by seeing 75 percent of all our body realize all four of our Values. We desire to RELEASE all the resources God has given us to do the work of HIS Church while working with other area Churches. In order that we may REPRODUCE disciples of Christ and engage those in our two mile radius. |
Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Is this a place for imperfect people? A. Yes. We like to say that we are "in process." We are firmly convinced that "the church is not a museum for saints, but a hospital for sinners." Q. Is this church part of a larger association of churches? A. Yes. We believe churches should focus more on core agreements than on minor distinctions. Consequently, we work with an alliance of local churches who work together to provide every man, woman, and child an opportunity to understand and accept or reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Columbia area. For more information about this alliance, check out missioncolumbia.org . Q. Is there one pastor of this church? A. No. We believe the Bible teaches a plurality of leadership where different gifts unite to provide a "wholeness" of perspective. Thus, we have a leadership team that represents a variety of personalities and gifts for guiding this church. Q. Is the Bible an important part of what happens here? A. Yes. We feel that the bible is the primary means by which we engage God so it is a vital part of all that we are and will be! |
