Palm Sunday Communion

On Sunday, March 16th, we will be gathering for Palm Sunday and will go to the Lord's Table with communion. This is our first Communion service at our new location at:

The Marini's Head To Romania

March 8, 2008

We ask everyone to keep the Roger and Cheryl in their prayers as they begin a new journey to Romania. Ask the Lord to provide them safe travel and continue to bless them and speak through them as they visit our neighbors in the other part of the world. Cheryl has graciously given a schedule of their journey. May the Lord bless and be with you both!

14th: Roger and Cheryl fly to Bucharest, Romania via Atlanta and Amsterdam

15th: Arrive Bucharest 1:30 p.m. and travel one hour north to Campina
to stay at Pastor Ioan Vasile’s home; team meets for first time for orientation

16th: Roger preaches in a.m. and p.m. services, village or town church; team orientation afternoon

17th: Team building day, getting to know the country and the area

18th – 21st: Roger and Cheryl teach at pastors’ conference in Sanaia, Romania (1 hr. N of Campina)

22nd: Team flies to Chesinau, Moldova late afternoon/early evening; orientation evening

23rd: HE IS RISEN! Roger preaches at a local church morning and evening services

24th: Team day getting to know the country and area

25th – 28th: Roger and Cheryl teach at pastors’ conference in Chesinau, Moldova

28th: Team returns to Bucharest, Romania for final night with Pastor Vasile and his family

29th: Roger and Cheryl fly to Vienna, Austria for overnight at airport hotel

30th: All day flight to SC via Amsterdam and Atlanta; arrive Columbia around 9 p.m.

Our First Sunday!

Our first Sunday at our new location was a success and we had a full house! It was a wonderful service and God has truly blessed us with a wonderful attendance and a beautiful location. Thank you Lord! We hope you will come visit with praise and worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 A.M.

Stamp For Romanian Wives!

February 27, 2008

You are invited to Cheryl Marini's home on Saturday, March 8th, for a time of fellowship and coffee/tea. We will decorate the folders Cheryl will present to the Romanian and Moldovan wives at the upcoming pastors' conferences. We will also be making a small bookmark to take for each wife. The time will be 10 a.m. to noon. Debi Cogan, a "Stampin' Up!" consultant, will help us make these projects. Come for any or all of the time and help send the Lord's love to these dear sisters in this special way. Hope to see you there! Please call Cheryl at 781-6924 and let her know you are coming.

CDF is Moving!!

We will no longer meet at H.E. Corley Elementary but praise the Lord for the time spent there. Please pray that God will continue to bless our body and that we may effectively reach the lost for Him.

CDF Records largest attendance!

September 3, 2006

This Sunday the Lord blessed us with our largest attendance in our bodies short history. 150 people joined us for our regular service, along with 26 children joining us in the nursery, at H.E. Corley Elementary School! Please pray that God will continue to bless our body and that we may effectively reach the lost for Him.

2006 Budget Released

Last week the elders released the updated budget for 2006. As we look forward to developing our property on Koon Road, and recognize the overwhelming generosity of our congregation, we have increased our budget. For a complete description of the adjustment, see the following announcement.

CDF Installs New Deacons

November 6, 2005

This Sunday CDF Installed 6 new deacons to help with leadership of the church's ministires. Please pray that God will guide and direct these men as they seek to serve Him by serving our body.

CDF Closes on Property

October 30, 2005

CDF has closed on 14.2 achres on Koon Rd. The property is located 3 tenths of a mile past I-26m, and Ivy Green, on your right. This property will one day serve as the Church home. Please pray for us as seek God's will as to when that day will come.

CDF Launches into Dutch Fork Area

This Sunday CDF met in H.E. Corley Elementary School for our first worship services outside of Columbia Crossraods. About 75 people showed up to worship and praise the Lord as we steped out in faith into our new home. Jim Anderson was kind enough to provide the church with some pictures of our first service in our new meeting place, click here to view them.
